The Experienced Worker card can be attained by anyone with significant relevant on the job experience (normally a year at least within the last 3) who has missed out on the industry accreditation opportunity.
To qualify for this card you need to first of all check to see if your job role is covered by the CSCS scheme. You must then sit the HS&E test with Construction Awards and register for an NVQ or SVQ qualification (if you haven’t already done so). The red card is valid for one year and is non-renewable.
The expectation being that it will be replaced by a skilled five year card upon completion and achievement of an NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or above. An Experienced Worker Card cannot be replaced by a Construction Site Operative or a Basic Skills Green Card.
To attain your Experienced Worker card, book a Health, Safety and Environment test with Construction Awards online today. If you are in the Barnet, Hampstead or Frognal, sit your test at our Wembley test centre. Call an advisor on 0203 689 6685 to get booked in.
